Museum > Exhibits > Steam Engine 6218
This engine was built in 1942 by the Montreal Locomotive Works. Retired permanently in 1973, the engine and its tender were presented by CNR to the Town of Fort Erie as a reminder of the days of steam. 6218 was the last steam engine to carry rail passengers in Canada. 2012 marked the 70th "birthday" of the steam engine.

You can see #6218 at the Fort Erie Railroad Museum where you can climb aboard the cab and sit in the engineer's seat.
